G.U.R.L.S. Rock Summit

About

G.U.R.L.S. Rock Summit is a program that provides unified, interactive learning in the form of a one-day learning experience for girls age 12-19, that focuses on uniting the village to support Bay area girls. Working under a tight timeline, I developed a fresh visual design, built the site in HTML5/CSS3, and implemented a jQuery-based slideshow.

Consortium for the Science of Sociotechnical Systems

About

The Consortium for the Science of Sociotechnical Systems (CSST) brings together researchers from a wide range of disciplines to develop a common language and scholarly repertoire to understand diverse sociotechnical issues. I helped develop a new, clean visual design and implemented CSS and JavaScript frameworks for simplified site maintenance.

GALILEO Scrapbook

About

The GALILEO Scrapbook is a collection of photos, memories, videos and other items related to GALILEO, Georgia’s Virtual Library. The site was developed to celebrate GALILEO’s 15th birthday. It illustrates GALILEO’s growth over the past 15 years. I worked with GALILEO staff to define site architecture and functionality, created wireframes to illustrate user interactions, coded the site in XHTML and CSS, and implemented the site in Expression Engine CMS.

University System of Georgia

About

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia oversees Georgia’s 35 public colleges and universities. The site is undergoing a top to bottom redesign. The new site will better communication the mission and values of the USG by simplifying the homepage, streamlining navigation options, and presenting a fresh visual design. I developed the new site architecture, created the initial wireframes for the homepage and second level pages, led the CMS implementation, and helped conduct usability testing.

The 1936 Gainesville Tornado: Disaster and Recovery

About

This site tells the story of the 1936 Gainesville Tornado through the use of archival film and photography. I worked with the Digital Library of Georgia staff to create a navigation structure that allows users to experience the site in a linear, narrative fashion or to retrieve primary source materials in a variety of formats. I co-developed the visual design and built the front-end HTML templates.

GALILEO: Georgia’s Virtual Library

About

GALILEO (GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online) provides access to over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. The site features five customized interfaces based on audience group. I developed a design that puts a clean, friendly face on GALILEO’s sophisticated, scholarly research tools.

Clinton Elementary PTA

About

This is the website for the Clinton Elementary School located in Maplewood, New Jersey. I collaborated on the XHTML/CSS template and implemented the site in Wordpress. Custom theme supports Wordpress Widgets and 3rd party applications.

JRCPF provides grants and awards for student-led community service learning. They support students in the United States, Europe, Africa and India. I updated the visual design and CSS structure.
